1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser to remember information about your visit. Other technologies serve a similar purpose, such as your browser's local storage (localStorage), which allows a website to save data on your device. Unlike cookies, information held in local storage is not automatically sent to the server with every request.
Article 22(2) of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), which implements the EU ePrivacy Directive, applies to both cookies and similar technologies. This Cookie Policy explains which of them are used by the website zeryon.io (the "Website"), owned by INFOSEC TECHNOLOGIES ESP LLC (ZERYON brand), and how you can manage them.
2. What this Website uses
The Website does not use analytics, advertising, tracking or social media cookies, and does not profile its users. It only stores the following two technical values in your browser's local storage:
| Name (key) | Type | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| zr-lang | Local storage (localStorage). Technical, preference. | First party (ZERYON) | Remembers the language you have selected (English or Spanish) so that the Website is shown in that language on future visits. | Persistent, until you delete it from your browser. |
| zr-consent | Local storage (localStorage). Technical. | First party (ZERYON) | Remembers that you have seen and accepted the cookie notice, so that it is not displayed again on every page or visit. | Persistent, until you delete it from your browser. |
Both values are stored only on your device, are not sent to our servers, contain no information that identifies you and are not shared with anyone. They are strictly necessary to provide the service you request (displaying the Website in your language and managing the cookie notice itself) and are therefore exempt from the consent requirement under Article 22(2) LSSI-CE and the guidance of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) on the use of cookies. We describe them here for transparency.
3. Third-party resources
The Website does not load third-party resources: fonts, images and JavaScript libraries are served from our own server. The Website is delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (reverse proxy and attack protection), which may set strictly necessary security cookies, such as those used to distinguish legitimate traffic from bots. These cookies are exempt from consent and their processing is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The fonts used on the Website are hosted on our own server, so no third-party font services such as Google Fonts are used.
More information about how we handle your IP address and technical browsing data is available in our Privacy Policy.
4. How to delete or block local storage
You can delete the values stored by the Website at any time through your browser settings. If you do, the Website will be displayed in the default language and the cookie notice will appear again on your next visit; the Website will otherwise work as normal. If you block site data storage altogether, the Website will still work but will not be able to remember your preferences.
As a general guide (menu names may vary depending on your browser version):
- Google Chrome: click the icon to the left of the site address in the address bar and open the site settings or cookies and site data option to delete the data for zeryon.io. Alternatively, go to Settings > Privacy and security > Delete browsing data and select "Cookies and other site data".
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Manage Data; search for zeryon.io and remove its data. You can also click the padlock icon in the address bar and select "Clear cookies and site data".
- Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data > See all cookies and site data; search for zeryon.io and delete its data.
- Safari (macOS): Safari > Settings (or Preferences) > Privacy > Manage Website Data; search for zeryon.io and click "Remove".
- Safari (iPhone and iPad): Settings > Apps > Safari (or Settings > Safari, depending on your version) > Advanced > Website Data; search for zeryon.io and delete it.
If you use private or incognito browsing, local storage values are deleted automatically when you close the window. Advanced users can also view and clear them from the browser's developer tools, under the storage section (Application or Storage > Local Storage).
5. Changes to this policy
If we introduce cookies or other non-exempt technologies in the future, such as analytics tools, we will ask for your prior consent through a mechanism that allows you to accept, reject or configure them with equal ease, and we will update this Cookie Policy accordingly. The current version will always be available on the Website, together with the date of its last update.
If you have any questions about this policy, please contact [email protected].
