Most organisations already own good security tools. What they lack is the time and the people to watch them every hour of every day, to separate the real signal from thousands of benign events and to act at three in the morning on a Sunday. Alerts pile up, investigations stall, and an intrusion that left traces early on is only noticed once the damage is visible.
ZERYON's MDR service closes that gap. Our SOC operates 24/7 on top of your telemetry, investigates every relevant alert from end to end and, within the actions you have approved in advance, contains threats directly: isolating a device, disabling a compromised account or blocking a malicious connection. You receive clear, contextualised reports instead of raw alerts, and a team that knows your environment.
What's included
24/7 monitoring and triage
Continuous monitoring of endpoint, identity, cloud, email and network telemetry. Every alert is investigated by an analyst before it reaches you.
Threat hunting
Hypothesis-driven hunts for the activity that automated rules miss, such as abuse of legitimate system tools, unusual sign-ins and quiet lateral movement, guided by current threat intelligence.
Active containment
Pre-agreed response actions carried out by our team: host isolation, session revocation, account suspension, blocking of indicators and quarantine of malicious files.
Detection engineering
Detection rules tuned to your environment and mapped to known adversary techniques, reviewed regularly to cut false positives and close coverage gaps.
MDR / XDR and SIEM operation
We work on top of your existing EDR, XDR or SIEM where it fits, or help you choose and deploy the stack that gives you the visibility you need.
How we work
Onboarding and baseline
We connect your data sources, review the criticality of your assets and agree escalation contacts, response permissions and communication channels.
Tuning
During the first weeks we adapt detections to your normal activity, so that what reaches you is relevant and actionable.
Operate, hunt and respond
Our analysts monitor, investigate and hunt continuously. Critical incidents are escalated immediately, with a target engagement time of under 15 minutes.
Review and improve
Periodic service reviews cover incidents, trends, coverage and recommendations, and turn them into improvements to your defences.
What you get
Fewer, better alerts
Investigated incidents with context, impact and clear next steps, not a stream of raw notifications.
Faster containment
Threats contained by people who are already watching, instead of being discovered weeks or months later.
Visibility you can report
Regular reports on coverage, incidents and trends that your management and auditors can understand.
Evidence for regulators
Records of detection and response activity that support your incident-handling obligations under frameworks such as NIS2 and DORA.
Who it's for
- Organisations without an in-house SOC, or with a small team that cannot cover nights and weekends.
- Companies that have invested in EDR or a SIEM but are not getting value from the alerts.
- Entities under NIS2 or DORA that need demonstrable detection and incident-handling capability.
- Growing businesses that want 24/7 coverage without building and staffing a SOC of their own.
- Internal security teams looking for support with triage and out-of-hours response.
Frequently asked questions
What is MDR (managed detection and response)?
MDR is a service in which an external team monitors your environment around the clock, investigates suspicious activity and takes action to contain threats. Unlike a pure monitoring service, it includes response: the provider does not just tell you something is wrong, it helps to stop it.
What is the difference between MDR, EDR and XDR?
EDR is technology that records and protects activity on endpoints. XDR extends that visibility to identity, email, cloud and network. MDR is the service, made up of people, processes and technology, that operates those tools 24/7 and responds to what they detect.
Do we need to replace our current security tools?
Not necessarily. Where your existing EDR, XDR or SIEM provides the visibility and response capabilities required, we build on it. If there are gaps, we explain them and recommend the minimum change needed.
What happens when you detect a critical incident?
An analyst confirms the threat, applies the containment actions you have pre-approved and contacts your designated people straight away. Our target is to engage on critical incidents in under 15 minutes. If a full investigation is needed, our incident response team takes over without losing context.
Does MDR help with NIS2 or DORA compliance?
It supports it. Both frameworks require the ability to detect, manage and report incidents. MDR provides the operational capability and the records; the wider governance obligations are covered by our compliance service.
